Review: As you can see from previous reviews Assanginitas reader is going to be out in force to denounce the role of Julian Assanges rise and fall. Ignore them. If all based on the true story of an ad film they are compressed for dramatic purposes. But the overall story is true. Benedict Cumberbatch gets Assanges preening narcissism and paranoia perfect waves. He's especially colorful in the exhibition that Assange says lies just fix them when the truth surfaces. Visually rich and it is very exciting and something completely different Bill Condon has done before. This is Alan J. Pakula DRAM style brought up to date and unique flashy graphics and breathless speed matching his lead character seems unstoppable drive. Edward Snowden, who had been in contact with Assange at one point, not mentioned. But Bradley (now Chelsea) Manning is certain. I hope Condon has plans to create a film Manning in the future, cause he's definitely a director for it. |
