| Review: It is clear that this film has been a ton of hype and the movie can live up to everything .... yada yada yada. Even allowing for this, the film is a bit of a disappointment. This movie proves that it was not just special FX that made fun to watch Star Wars. It was as if George Lucas was so overwhelmed by what he can do with CGI effects, he forgot what made the original trilogy so great, that was written characters. Not a bad movie, but the problems are many. Many people have forgiven this movie to be mediocre as they say it is only the first of the trilogy and another man who is just setting everything to follow. Wrong wrong wrong, this movie needed to be his first film and above all, like the other three films. You must have good characters and a story somewhat interesting .... he didnt.-conflict in this story revolves around a trade dispute and the fate of the planet Naboo. If someone really cares? The details of the dispute are somewhat vague and discover what is true is not going to generate enough interest in d rooted in a particular hand. Significant conflicts over Darth Sideous and his ascension was made farther in the background. We do not even know why Darth Maul Jedi hate so much .... it just does. Darth Maul Luke probably wanted to be a bit like Boba Fett (silent and mysterious). She has worked with Boba Fett, because he was only a supporting character, not a main villain. This movie really has no clear villain. I wish someone would have had the courage and Lucas just said that his story was basic-bad. No one seems particularly happy in this film. Qui-Gon is really the only character who can relate and even he is quite remote. Queen acts as a dummy in most scenes (and appears as one). Obi-Wan Kenobi wander through the entire film without the benefit and never says anything interesting. The characters never seem to talk about anything except the plot (unlike the first film). C3PO and R2-D2 were a lot of sense. Jedi Council emerges as extremely cold and buracratic. And I'll never understand why they wrote Annakin klasëne school as a child in this film. He must have been a teenager. His scenes with the queen were difficult. We will also discuss other things Jar.Various jar ... midochlorians-thing just seems to have been nailed. Humor falls flat if you are a child extremely small. Annakin merchant ship and finally destroys all safves basically by mistake! ILM and George Lucas seems to be so happy with their new toys CGI that they spent 95% of their time perfecting them. Frankly I thought the FX Return of the Jedi were sharper, more dimensional and less cartoonish. Nothing all that memorable seems to happen here. This movie might not have been as good as the hype, but it could have been much better than that easy. I waited so long for this movie, but the first time I saw this movie I really got bored between it.There are good moments. Pod racing was fun, as was the lightsaber battle at the end. There are some very nice all special effects. Hopefully Lucas only had writers block when he wrote it. Maybe he will remember what other movies made the best time for Episode II. Although he seems to have failed its title. |
