Review: This movie is what it says it is. Nothing more nothing less. And maybe a little more. Most machetes critics who gave negative reviews in general, they fall into a trap of their own devices. Machete is a film of operation and was announced as such. By definition, and exploitation films include excessive violence, blood, nudity, and you will be high in intentional corny lines while low on plot devices and character development. Give low ratings to Machete because of dislike for the genre, it would be like saying the Shinning was awful, because I do not like horror. This is one of the best films of Rodriguez to date, along with Sin City (2005). Machete delivers on all accounts of action, gore, nudity, and cheesy lines. The plot is simple, but honestly, this is as it should be. The only thing that sets this apart from other films of operation is that the quality is high notch. I personally found that the three main female characters to be the most interesting and diverse.Jessica Alba plays the role of ICE agent struggling with his loyalty to his naçãoe his people. She slowly they begin to question their own logic that people should follow the law simply because they are laws. We see this fight as soon as she approaches a taco (apparently, once a week) to a cafe for lunch and, despite his own people that feel of your site. Why did she keep this ritual? She says that it is checking the documents of the character Luz, but it really is to try to capture a piece of identity among his people. Michelle Rodriguez plays said Luz (aka She) as a leader in the underground of illegal immigration. The nature of Light is a simple woman who believes in not supporting the broken system, but to fight for his people (the mirror of Dawn). She is just a myth that Light built a cult following, understanding that sometimes being a myth can do more harm than flesh and blood. By the end of the film, Light reborn as the mythical She, in time for the bloody battle. Finally, the actress who surprised me most was Lindsay Lohan. Despite only receiving 10-15 minutes of screen time (most is that she has no clothes), she plays the character perfect and flawless. The paper seems to be written especially for her and I applaud her for stepping up and taking on a role as mature. One of his first scenes is a conversation tongue-in-cheek about how she needs to give people what they want from the internet, and it is more than her. Lohan played well (in all aspects) talent and spots are clearly visible. I hope that the film-makers and the public (such as myself) continue to allow their opportunities to show talent. Machete is exploitation film at its best. And, in most cases, if you are the kind of film participant who wants to see a movie called Machete, first, the chances are you will be completely entertained. |
