Sean PENNS pop philosophical examination of this young mans journey across America, Alaska, and the depth of his soul people will give less explain. Although it is unclear exactly what interpretation we can see it is very clear that Penn respects his subject and gave this movie about as much thought and energy, as this might lead to. And the film does remind me of something very true about the self-righteous naiveté? by youth.I not concern the accuracy of the film, and although it is tempting to compare this film great Werner Herzog, but less fictionalized Grizzly Man, things are really too diverse, Herzog and PENNS prospect of humanity are too different to produce a meaningful comparison. This comparison, too big and too easy. But I will make one comment about the two films - PENNS film is a lot or a tribute to his character than Herzogs.I found in the natural environment, which is intriguing, thoughtful film. The script was good, but sometimes a bit pretentious - sometimes crosses the line between character development and character of the worship line. PENNS direction and cinematography is masterful. Film - each cast member including - absolutely excellent.Recommended - but not light entertainment fun. |
